In this series, students will learn important information and practice key skills that will enhance their job and internship search as an international student.

Curricular Practical Training (CPT)

Optional Practical Training (OPT)

Internship & Job Search Strategies

The internship and job search can be confusing and frustrating, especially as an international student. This session will cover strategies for locating opportunities in the United States.

Resumes & Cover Letters

Learn what employers look for in a high-quality US-style resume and cover letter. Understand the difference between a resume and a CV in the US.

Gaining Experience for Graduate School

Learn how academic research, study abroad, experiential learning, and internships can help you gain experience to prepare for graduate school.  Hear from staff with the University Honors Program, ICRU, Pomerantz Career Center, and Study Abroad.

Interviewing to Impress

Impress the interviewer and highlight your best qualities. Learn how to interview with confidence and ease. Discuss typical questions in US-based interviews and practice your interviewing skills.

From First Impression to Full-Time

Come for a discussion on office etiquette and professionalism, including professional correspondence, appropriate attire, and interpersonal communication.
