Webinar #1 – Internship Challenges: Addressing Red Flags

Join staff from the University of Iowa to discuss trouble shooting for internships from the employer, intern, and career professionals’ perspective. Webinar #2 – Branding on Campus 101

Are you recruiting on campus but not getting the results you are looking for?  Are you interested in creating a career center and employer partnership that produces a great talent pipeline? Is there a niche of students that you can’t seem to find on campus? 

This session will discuss tips for building relationships at The University of Iowa in order to hire top talent. We will discuss strategies for building your brand on campus through utilization of a variety of techniques, both traditional and out of the box.  Discussion will include low cost basic strategies as well as examples from top recruiting organizations. Presenters will present on what has worked for organizations they consult and provide insight from campus.

Are you in need of a programmer or app developer? Did your senior leader say they needed students with more data analytics skills? Are you struggling to find enough candidates to fill your IT-related openings? If you answered “yes” to all of these questions, you are not alone! We have found that in the last few years our most highly sought after students are in our IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Analytics majors.

We will provide an overview of the majors and programs we have at Iowa and program numbers in order for you to learn the size of the candidate pool. We will discuss strategies for connecting with IT students at Iowa. Discussion will include low cost basic strategies as well as examples from top recruiting organizations.
