Find my dream job

It’s almost 2016! Have you made your New Year’s resolutions yet?

Whether you’re looking for a job or an internship, your resolutions can help you in your search! Here are five different resolutions for helping your job search in 2016.

1) Get more organized
Everyone has their own organizational styles. From color coding your emails or writing out your entire weekly schedule,  find a way that works for you! This is a great way to show employers that you are focused and prepared.

2) Dedicate time to searching and researching
In addition to getting organized, plan out some time where you can truly search for your dream job or internship! Dedicate a few hours each week to do this and make it a priority. This will ensure that your job search doesn't get pushed to the side!

3) Build your professional relationships
A great way to get a job or internship is through networking.  You will have to strengthen these relationships to ensure that you are memorable to others. Be personable, professional, and most importantly... BE YOURSELF!

4) Strengthen your skills
Employers look for candidates who expand their horizons outside of the classroom. Look for workshops, seminars, or conferences that are related to your career field. This shows employers that are passionate about your field!

5) Be positive
Job searching can often be stressful and painful… but it is also exciting! Remember to stay positive about your job search and it will work out in the end.
