Diversity Networking Night

This is a casual networking event to connect Employers who promote diversity in the workplace with students.

Tuesday, February 21, 2017 - 5:00-7:00 p.m. - Center for Diversity & Enrichment Multipurpose Room, University Capitol Centre (Room 2780)

During this event, there will be networking and a diversity student organization showcase
-Networking is open to all students, this is an opportunity to socialize, connect and learn more about employers who promote diversity in the workplace.
-Student organizations can table at this event to connect with employers for programming or to recruit new members.

Light refreshments provided, Casual environment, No cost to attend!
 

Information for Students

  • Participating Organizations

  • Suggested attire is business casual (dress pants, skirts, collared shirts etc.)

  • Resumes optional, but recommended

  • Students who attended last year's event said the following: 'Getting to meet with recruiters in a less formal environment with fewer people allowed for more getting to know each other as people.' and, ' This event helped me get comfortable talking with employers before the Fair.'

Information for Student Organizations

  • We welcome student organizations to showcase their organization with a table and display. Members from your organization can attend to network as well as attending the showcase portion.

  • One diverse student group attended the event last year and said: 'This event was an excellent use of our time - we connected with multiple employers and we even got leads on internships.'

  • Register **The Diversity Networking Night is at capacity for employer registrations – if you are still interested in attending, please register and you will be added to the wait list automatically. Please contact Joanna (joanna-halsch@uiowa.edu) if you have any questions.
  • Parking information - Please park on the second level of the Capitol Street Parking Ramp (220 S Capitol Street, Iowa City).  After parking, please go to the second floor of the University Capitol Centre - room 2780 can be found to the left after the hallway from the parking ramp.
