It really wasn't that big of a challenge coming to Iowa overseas since I spent my whole life knowing I'd end up coming to the states to study. My parents both studied here, my mom at Iowa, and so it wasn't much of a shock. I'm also very adaptive so that really helped me deal with the culture difference.
I'd say the library is the best campus resource. I still don't completely understand how to go through the whole database they have, but if I can get the results I'm getting while not knowing what I'm doing, I can only imagine what I'd find if I really understood how to work it.
Being in the CLA Living-Learning Community was probably the best thing that could've happened to me freshman year. It gave me a chance to meet some of the best people and even though I'm not in touch with them like I used to be, I know I have friends out there who would be there for me if I needed them. It also helped me really understand who I am and what I can do which has definitely been a huge part of where I am today.
My interests include anything with the arts, music, and outdoor activities.
Fun fact: I adore coloring books.
