Zero Credit Hour Internship Course - Instructions for Registering
Note: By reporting your internship to the Pomerantz Career Center for recognition on your transcript, you acknowledge that you have read and understand the Internship Agreement and the Benefits and Requirements
Follow these steps to register your Summer or Fall 2017 internship on HireaHawk and MyUI -
(the date to register previous internships has passed).
Access your HireaHawk.com account
Under the Record Your Experience section on your HireaHawk homepage (right hand side), select "Report Internships" and then select "Add New
Experience" at the bottom. Be sure to add a record for each semester that you are participating in an internship.
International Students: You must also receive authorization from the Office of International Student and Scholar Services (OISS). After entering your internship information on HireaHawk, visit the OISS website for instructions for completing your CPT paperwork. This must be completed before you will receive the email mentioned in Step 3.
Within one week of adding your internship information on HireaHawk.com, you will receive an email with instructions for adding the 0 credit hour
internship course on MyUI. If you do not add the internship course on MyUI, it will not appear on your transcript.
- The course will be noted as "Internship in Business" or "Internship in Liberal Arts & Sciences" for example (based on your college).
- If it's before the registration period for that semester, you won't receive an email until the registration period opens.
- If it’s after the deadline for registering on MyUI for that semester, you will receive an email with instructions for processing an add slip instead.
- Be sure to add the course on MyUI or the internship will not be noted on your transcript.
To receive the passing grade of "R", you must complete a Midterm Evaluation. You will receive an email at Midterm with instructions for completing
this short evaluation.
