Info Session: Non-Education Majors - Become a Teacher in One Year!

The Academy for Urban School Leadership (AUSL) is an equity-focused education nonprofit that works tirelessly to improve educational outcomes for underserved students. 

Through our one year nationally-recognized Chicago Teacher Residency Program, AUSL recruits and trains individuals from all backgrounds who possess a passion to provide an equitable education to students in under-resourced communities. Using our proven hands-on training model, Residents earn a Master's degree from DePaul University and a year of practical classroom experience in a high needs CPS School. Through continual mentorship and support, Residents develop the skills necessary to become a highly effective educator. No teaching experience or degree is required.
