The Spring 2021recruiting season will be different for everyone, but we guarantee there will plenty of opportunities for students and employers to connect in meaningful ways. While the University of Iowa’s Spring 2021 plan will include some face-to-face instruction and have buildings and services open, there is still a focus on reducing the number of people in buildings and on-campus. To support that goal, the Pomerantz Career Center will be open with limited hours and staffing, while continuing to offer all services and program virtually.
What’s New? Whether live or pre-recorded, we have some great opportunities to connect with students and the faculty/staff who support them. Employers now have access in Handshake to post virtual events, and can also take advantage of our new Career Insider Video Seriesand 3 Questions with an Employer programs. In addition, we’ll have some new tools and distribution channels from promotion of these items, and have also curated some of our favorite Virtual Recruiting Resources to help you this season.
What’s Different? Job & internship Fairswill be a series of targeted virtual fairs that will be hosted through the Handshake platform. Interviews and our Mock Interview Program will continue to be scheduled via Handshake, but take place on the virtual platform of your choice. Career Treks and on-campus events like tabling and information sessions will be on hiatus and resume when it is safe to do so.
“We are so thrilled to have this long standing partnership with the Pomerantz Career Center. Our vision at Target for career development mirrors that of the Pomerantz Center, which makes the transition from student to leader so successful!”
