Hello Hawkeyes! Today we are spotlighting alumni, Jordan Allen. Jordan graduated from the University of Iowa in 2019 with a B.B.A. in Management, a minor in Communication Studies, and a Certificate in Leadership Studies.

Jordan is originally from Bettendorf, Iowa. He is now working for a financial technology company, called Workiva. Workiva is headquartered in Ames, Iowa. Jordan started at Workiva in November of 2020, so he has been with them for almost two years.

At Workiva, Jordan is a Senior Customer Success Manager. In this role, he manages a book of business that consists of current customers that use their software. He spends his days ensuring that customers are happy with the software and are getting the full value out of it. He also sees if there is any opportunity to grow each individual customer's account.

Jordan’s favorite part about his role at Workiva is building relationships with his customers. As he works with customers for a longer period of time, he gets to connect with them on things that go beyond work. Additionally, he loves working for Workiva as a company. He enjoys all the people he gets to work with on a day-to-day basis.

While at the University of Iowa, Jordan participated in the Career Leadership Academy courses. Through CLA, Jordan was able to develop and learn skills and competencies that have helped him professionally. These skills and competencies have helped him reach a senior role in his company. Through this senior role he now gets to help lead and manage part of Workiva’s internship program. As Jordan stated, “CLA taught me leadership styles and skills that I get to put into practice daily.”
