CCP:3300 Field Experience

General Information 

• If you have financial aid or scholarships, be sure to consult with the Office of Student Financial Aid to understand 0-credit hour enrollment's impact on your aid eligibility.
• Students must have secured their experience in advance of enrollment.
• Students are eligible to receive 0 credit hours and transcript notation.
• Once the experience is approved in Handshake, students register for CCP:3300 Field Experience in MyUI.
• This course provides students with an opportunity to reflect on their experience during a midterm evaluation and for their supervisor to complete an evaluation.
• This does not meet the Tippie RISE Requirement for business students.

Requirements 

• Professional experience which relates to student's major field or career interests
• At least 80% professional work
• Experience occurs during the term the student is enrolled in the course
• Student is on site or remote for less than 10 hours per week or experience lasts less than 10 weeks during spring or fall term, or 8 weeks in summer
• Requires continuous supervision by a professional in the field (not a student)

Student Eligibility

• Minimum cumulative and UI 2.0 GPA
• Cannot be dual enrolled in another internship, practicum, or field experience course for the same experience
• F-1/J-1 International students must also apply for Curricular Practical Training (CPT) via ISSS
