This vacancy will be used to fill multiple positions in OE, OEMR and OEPI.  For more information visit: FERCThe Office of Energy Market Regulation (OEMR) is looking for the right candidates to join our team of passionate and dedicated professionals at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).  We want motivated and engaged individuals who want to serve the public interest, working on regulatory and competitive market issues for the natural gas pipeline, oil pipeline, and electric industries.  The divisions of OEMR are divided into the following 4 groups; The Divisions Electric Power Regulation – East, Central, and West, as well as the Division of Pipeline Regulation.  OEMR, in general, advises the Commission and processes caseloads related to the market regulation of the electric utility, natural gas, and oil industries.  Within this general context, each division has its own specific functions.  Below is a brief overview of the major responsibilities for each division. Division of Electric Power Regulation – East is responsible for reviewing PJM, NYSO, and ISO-NE proposals, as well as electric filings from utilities in the East region. Division of Electric Power Regulation - Central is responsible for reviewing MISO and SPP proposals, as well as electric filings from utilities in the Central region.  The Central Division also analyzes qualifying facility (QF) and related filings, reviews rate schedules for transmission service filed by federal power marketing administrators.  Additionally, the Central Division analyzes and processes NERC budget, delegation agreements, and rules of procedure applications. Division of Electric Power Regulation - West is responsible for reviewing CAISO proposals, as well as electric filings from utilities in the West region.  The West Division also reviews corporate applications (including public utility mergers, issuance of securities or assumption of liabilities) and interlocking directorates.  Moreover, the West Division reviews of market based rates applications for public utilities in all regions.Division of Pipeline Regulation is responsible for reviewing natural gas and oil pipeline filings.  The Division also manages the Commission’s e-Tariff and company registration databases.
