LCFS Zero Emission Vehicle Policy and Implementation Lead at California Air Resources Board

We are seeking a Staff Air Pollution Specialist (SAPS) to function as the staff lead for implementing the zero-emissions vehicle (ZEV) provisions in the program. This position is part of a team involved with implementing ZEV deployment and coordinating policy across CARB and the state to help meet its decarbonization goals.   As a SAPS, the ideal candidate for this position is an independent policy and technical specialist that is capable of managing broad, high-profile program and project responsibilities with extreme sensitivity and complexity. The position requires policy and technical skills to evaluate the complexities of the coodrination and deployment of ZEVs within the LCFS, understand California’s transportation programs and goals, and develop policy recommendations based on past trends and future needs. The SAPS supports implementation of the LCFS, including coordinating responses for new, innovative, and complex electricity and hydrogen pathway applications in the LCFS. The SAPS also coordinates rulemaking efforts and leads major projects, and develops recommendations for policies consistent with State and program goals.
