Employer: Families Helping Families of Iowa Expires: 07/01/2024 Programs & Events : FHF caters to thousands of children in foster care and families through our signature events. Among these events, the Back-To-School Rallies and the holiday Winter Wonderland Events are our highest-attended events usually serving over 500 children and over 1000 families in our communities. As our organization continues to expand, so does the outreach to families and the scale of our events.  Interns will get real-life, hands-on experience in the following ways: Help coordinate and plan special events, particularly fundraising events Coordination of programs and oversight of the various stages of event development Event detailsExecution of the event, staff and event volunteers Coordination of vendors, entertainment, and sponsors Financial tracking Post-event details Other duties assigned: Helping with marketing and promoting the events Working with businesses/partners of FHF/networking to help with fundraising or donation efforts for our events Requirements: Must have a valid driver's license Must feel comfortable speaking to a group of people
