Sports Nutrition Operations Assistant

UHD - Bakery Lead- Burge Residence Hall

BASIC FUNCTIONResponsible for coordinating all aspects of student employment in the central bakery. Will help coordinate workload with central bakery. Make independent decisions and exercise good judgment in the absence of a full-time supervisor. Will be working independently with production in the nut free bakery at Burge. Will need to be flexible working at different bakery locations on campus.RESPONSIBILITIESSupervise, schedule and coordinate new student hiring processes. Maintain central email account.Conduct orientations of new student employees and train in new positions.Phone employees when necessary. Communicate all information regarding tardiness, absences, and exemplary behavior to supervisors.Update online attendance tracking tool daily.Responsible for contributing to performance evaluations for student employees, following all HR guidelines and procedures.Obtain knowledge of sanitation and safety policies and procedures. Live Event Production Student Assistants-Iowa Athletics

The University of Iowa Athletic Department is seeking motivated Individuals to become student assistants with our Live Event Productions team.Responsibilities: Assist with sporting event shoots and in studio production. Program and operate Daktronics Show Control program for baseball, softball, field hockey, soccer, swimming and diving, basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, and wrestling events. Assist in live productions for Iowa Athletics B1G+ streams. Camera operators, Directors, Graphic Designers, On-Air Commentators, Replay operators, etc.Qualifications: Camera experience preferred however not required. Ability to work evening and weekend events, lift 50 lbs. and assume a variety of responsibilities. Freshman or sophomore standing preferred. Requires a minimum of a one-year commitment.

Student supervisors play an incredibly important role, not only for the University, but for the students that they lead. The level of importance that supervisors play in the overall education experience of their students has been highlighted in the incredible number of nominations written by students over the 8 years of the award.
